SquidBooks is accepting applications for science writers who are excited about bringing scientific topics to life for middle school students. From planning to completion, SquidBooks writers create educational content closely connected with their areas of scientific expertise (e.g., earth, space, life, or physical/chemical science).
An ideal candidate for the SquidBooks writing team has:
Science writing and/or textbook writing experience
A combination of teaching and writing experience
A selection of published science writing samples
Additional and preferred experience:
Graduate degree in the sciences
Work experience as a science educator, researcher, or writer
SquidBooks writers must be available to work for 10-30 hours per week in a home office or virtual environment. Compensation will be provided upon the completion of content creation milestones. A productive writer could earn $2,000–3,000 per month.
